Beverly Blair Harzog is the credit card expert for Credit.com. A nationally recognized expert and personal finance author, she's frequently quoted by the media, including The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, CNNMoney.com, SmartMoney, Money, MSNMoney.com, MSNBC.com, New York Daily News, Time.com, Reuters.com, Entrepreneur, CBS's MoneyWatch.com, ABCNews.com, Bankrate.com, Inc., and more. She's also a frequent guest on radio shows across the country.

She's the co-author of The Complete Idiot's Guide to Person-to-Person Lending (Alpha Books/Penguin, April 2009) and of the forthcoming Simple Numbers, Straight Talk, Big Profits: Four Keys to Unlock Your Business Potential (Greenleaf Publishing, June 2011).

Beverly's also an award-winning personal finance journalist. Her credits include: CNNMoney.com, FoxBusiness.com, Good Housekeeping, MSNMoney.com, Better Homes and Gardens, Cooking Light, Health, Bankrate.com, Bottom Line Wealth, CreditCards.com, AARP Bulletin Today, Wealth Manager, Navy Federal, Your Business, Natural Health, and more.

She began her career as a CPA, which provided her with the perfect background to become a finance journalist. While writing about credit cards for consumer publications, she saw first-hand how difficult it was for consumers to find the information they needed to make informed credit decisions. Seeing this need, Beverly decided to focus on consumer credit issues--especially, credit cards--and become an advocate for consumers.

Since then, she's written hundreds of articles about consumer credit issues that have appeared in national and international media outlets. In early 2010, she became a spokeswoman and contributing editor for CardRatings.com, a credit card comparison and consumer education website. While there, she did interviews with the national media, researched credit card offers, and wrote consumer education features.

Beverly has an MBA from the University of New Haven in Connecticut. She's a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors and frequently speaks at national conferences.

She lives with her husband, their two children, and an emotionally-needy Shih Tzu in Johns Creek, Georgia, a northern suburb of Atlanta. She's a sports news junkie and a lifelong Atlanta Braves fan. To get updates on her latest blogs and columns on Credit.com, follow her on Twitter:
